With the help of £80,000 Grant Aid from Sport NI under the Places for Sport Programme, Moy Tír na nÓg have recently completed a state of the art Floodlighting project on their training field at Páirc Club Tír na nÓg. The financial backing to the club further enhances the only sporting facility within the County Tyrone village.

Construction work on the project commenced in January by and was completed at the end of February. Donaghmore Construction Ltd from Dungannon carried out the work. The club recently marked the occasion by planting an ash tree with representatives of Sport NI Damien McConville and Brian Cargo.

The official switching on of the lights was carried out by former President of the GAA, Paddy Mc Flynn, and was marked by a series of exhibition games by the club’s youth members in March. The event marked the completion of major improvements to the ground grounds which also saw the erection of new perimeter fencing and pitch side advertising for Team sponsors and Business members of the ‘Club Tír na nÓg’ Membership scheme.  The scheme has attracted 80 personal members and 12 businesses in its very first year.
