Tyrone Gaels everywhere have been saddened to hear the tragic news of the sudden and untimely death of Johnny Curran from Coalisland. The GAA Community have been rocked by terrible news to emerge early this morning.
Johnny had represented his Club and County with pride and distinction winning An All Ireland Minor Medal with his beloved County In 2004, when Tyrone defeated Kerry. Johnny also went on to represent Tyrone at Senior Level and was part of the successful Panel who won the Sam Maguire in 2008. Johnny also wore the number 1 Jersey for his Club Coalisland Fianna helping them win a County U.21 Championship medal in 2004 and one of his proudest moments was to take up the last line of defence when Coalisland captured the O’Neill Cup in 2010.
The Tyrone GAA wish to offer their sincere Sympathy to all the Curann family on their sad loss and extend condolences to his Parents, Anthony & Alicia, brother Stephen and sister Louise plus his partner Clodagh and sons, Neasán & Darsái.
