June 19th, 2022

The Shields Family- L-R Jackie, Conor, Patrick, Mickey (RIP) and Michaela plus  Conor with “Sam”

The Tyrone GAA Community wish to extend their condolances to Tyrone Senior Player, Conor Shields Clogher on the sudden and sad passing of his father Mickey Shields, Deepest sympathy is offered to Jackie, his Wife, Sons, Patrick & Conor also daughter Michaela.

Mickey was a true Gael and dedicated member of his beloved Clogher Éire Óg’s and was always a willing volunteer when it came to parking cars, cutting grass and generally tidying up around the pitch, Mickey and his Tractor and Linkbox was always there.

The proudest moment ever for Mickey and the entire Shields Family was to see Conor run out on Croke Park on All Ireland Final Day in 2021. Mickey was beaming with pride to see Conor climb the Hogan Stand steps and to lift the Sam Maguire Cup.

Our thoughts and our prayers are with the Family and the large Family circle at this difficult time.
