It was that time of year that the under 14’s took centre stage in the camogie calendar in Tyrone as the annual Féile was held on Sunday. Despite the winners not progressing into this years All Ireland Féile competition which is being held in Ulster, the competiveness was not diminished. Carrickmore, Eglish and Dungannon played each other in two 15 minute half games with the top two contesting the final. Eglish won their first two and Dungannon won one of their matches to put both teams in the final. It was an excellent game and Eglish went on to win. Aisling McLaughlin from Dungannon won the skills competition and is Tyrones representative for the All Ireland Féile in June. Eglish and Eire Og are hosting families at this years All Ireland Féile and therefore they will represent Tyrone.
Tyrone camogie would like to thank Stewartstown Harps for the use of their facilities at such short notice. It’s not the first time camogie was played here as last years under 16 championship final also took place here. Tommy Nixon and Barry Winters must be praised for their officiating of the games.
