Scholarships available for Féile Ghaeltacht Thír Eoghain

Now in it’s ninth year The Institute of Irish Leadership, Pomeroy are preparing for their annual week-long Irish language and cultural course Gaeltacht Thír Eoghain which has been rebranded as “Féile Ghaeltacht Thír Eoghain” this year.

Bainisteoir Tionscadail/Project Manager Seán Antón Ó Conalláin remarked “We are all really looking forward to Féile Ghaeltacht Thír Eoghain 2019. The applications are steadily coming in and there has been a lot of interest shown especially in the 10 scholarships which we are very fortunate to be able to offer.”

Ó Conalláin continued “Féile Ghaeltacht Thír Eoghain scholarships are open to anyone who is 16+ years of age, is studying Irish be that at school, university or community classes and who is actively contributing to the promotion of the Irish language at a grassroots level such as within their local GAA club.”

The deadline for scholarships has been extended to Monday 24th June.

Féile Ghaeltacht Thír Eoghain will run from 1st- 5th July 2019, with Irish language classes for all levels each morning and Irish cultural activities each afternoon.
