There are traffic restrictions in Omagh on Sunday due to the Irish National Cycling Championships (see below)
Important information regarding road closures around Omagh due to cycling championships. Access to Healy Park will be restricted over the weekend.
Over this weekend, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June 2015 the Irish National Cycling Championships will take place in Omagh. The following is an outline of road closures and road diversions that will be in place on Saturday 27th June from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. and Sunday 28th June from 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.
Road Closures: Drumragh Avenue, High Street, Market Street and John Street.
Road diversions (one-way traffic only): Kevlin Road (traffic flow towards Kevlin Avenue); Crevenagh Road (traffic flow towards Integrated School); Racolpa Road (traffic flow towards A505 Cookstown Road); St. Mary’s Road (traffic flow towards Glenpark Road).
Following immediately after this event will be the GAA Match between Tyrone and Limerick (Healy Park 4.00 p.m.) As the cycling event will not be finished until 3.00 p.m. availability to parking close to Healy Park will not be accessible until after 3.00 p.m.
PSNI have asked GAA supporters to take note of this fact and plan their journey around arriving into Omagh no earlier than 3.00 p.m.
