Drug and Alcohol information available at Saturday’s game

Saturday’s game sees an exciting new partnership launched. The Western Drug and Alcohol Team Connection Service and ASCERT have been invited by Tyrone G.A.A Health and Wellbeing Committee to come along to the Tyrone v Derry, Alliance Nation League Match and provide some useful information to supporters.
There will be information stand on hand at the game to help raise awareness with supporters on the impact of Drugs and Alcohol. Information will be available by using a fun non-judgmental approach, in the form of a photo booth shaped in the style of a VW Camper Van! The booth will supply various items of fun costumes and disguises for match goers to take selfies of themselves and are offered the opportunity to up load their selfie onto ASCERT’s Facebook page. By doing so they will be enter into a competition to win a mystery prize. If they choose to up loading their selfie on to ASCERT’S Facebook page they will also be given the option of browsing all the drug and alcohol information contained on the site.
As part of the action plan for the Tyrone Health and Wellbeing Committee in 2016 the committee aim to work with organisations like ASCERT to ensure health and Wellbeing messages are provided to clubs and communities in Tyrone.
