Omagh Ballad Group and Trillick Quiz team finished second in their respective disciplines in the All Ireland Scór na nÓg title in Castlebar this afternoon. The Offaly champions put in a flawless performance and were deserving winners. Omagh Scor officer David Tierney was disappointed but proud of how the group performed. “They were up against a really good group from Offaly but we are very proud of them. They performed really well and although they are disappointed not to win we hope they will learn from this and come back again next year”. A very young Trillick team were pipped in the quiz the Westmeath champions. The Tyrone Culture committee are proud of both teams and believe that an All Ireland title isn’t beyond them both in 2013.
