The Red River Festival in Castlederg kicks off this week and they have provided something for everybody in their lineup of events. The festival will kick off with a Kids Fun Day on Thursday from 5pm-7pm followed by youth disco in the Marquee for the kids and a Texas Hold-em in the Clubrooms for the Adults.
Then to start a great weekend of Entertainment a Charity night in aid of Cystic Fibrosis will be held on Friday night with music by Tommy Forbes. On the night there are Singing acts and Waxing taking up most of the evening and a “Full Monty” from some of Castlederg’s Senior Footballers to provide plenty of laughter to the audience.
On the Saturday the club are holding their Annual Derg to Lough Derg Cycle at 11am (registration from 10am), which will be followed by an Underage Girls Blitz in memory of the late Jo Lynch.
Top comedy Hypnotist, Adrian Knight will be appearing in the Marquee from 8:30pm on Saturday for what is sure to be a great evening’s entertainment. With music on Saturday night from the popular Monaghan band One for the Road late into the night.
On Sunday the Club are holding their Annual Bingo event, with the Jackpot prize standing at £1000. They will then be showing the All Ireland Semi Final between Dublin and Kerry in the Marquee before the Bubble Football Tournament and BBQ kicks off.
The weekend’s entertainment will come to a close on Sunday night with live music in the Marquee from 7:00pm to late with popular Castlederg band The Logues closing of a great weekend.
