Clann na nGael C.L.G. has launched an innovative new fundraising competition entitled “Sports Forecaster 2013”. Participants are asked to predict the outcome of twelve sporting events across a number of codes which will be decided between March and July 2013. Depending upon how obvious or easily anticipated the selected outcome is, points are awarded… provided of course that the prediction is accurate! An inaccurate prediction will attract no points for that the participant in relation to that event. The winner will be the person with the highest number of points when all twelve events have been concluded.
There is a first prize of £500 and a runners-up prize of £100. Entries can now be purchased from any member of Clann na nGael’s men’s or ladies’ Senior and Reserve teams as well as Committee members. Each entry will cost £10.
Representatives of the club will be visiting a number of parishes throughout Tyrone and beyond in the coming weeks. They would be extremely grateful for the support and generosity of the wider public in purchasing entries and contributing to this vital income stream.
