The Official Launch of the Clochar Éire Óg’s 75th Anniversary Gala Celebration, took place on Saturday last outside the Official Sponsors Mc Dades “CENTRA” Clogher.
To help launch the Big Event, Jarlath Burns, MC on the night was on hand along with the members of the Gala Sub Committee and the Official Sponsor John Mc Dade owner of the “Centra Supermarket”
On the 23rd February next year the Club have organised a Gala Celebration Extravaganza In The Hilgrove Hotel in Monaghan. All Clogher Gaels past and present, Young & Old will come together for a Nostalgic night of Looking back over the past 75 years since the Club was Officially formed while at the same time looking forward the the encouraging Development plans for the Future.
Over 350 Tickets have already been sold, Special Guests on the night will be the legendary Michael O Muircheartaigh and Jarlath Burns. This promises to be a night not to be missed.
It is also hoped the Clubs Successful winning teams of 1972 (Junior Champions) 1985 (League Champions) 2000 (Junior Champions) will all be present to receive a special Presentation from the Club.
The only 2 remaining members of the 1948 Senior Championship side who reached the Senior County Final against Omagh will hopefully be present as our Special Guests.
A tremendous amount of time and work has gone into the planning of the event and it’s not too late to to ensure you’re present to join in on the Celebrations. Tickets are available from any of the Organising Sub Committee
