Executive members from all clubs in Tyrone are invited to attend the first training event of 2016 for Club Health and Wellbeing Officers, which will be held on Thursday 25 February 2016 at 7pm in Garvaghey.
This is a significant development for the county in the area of Health and Wellbeing, and it is important that all clubs are represented.
The training will focus on the key aspects of the Club HWO role to equip the club officers (Club Chairperson, Club Secretary, Health and Well-Being Officers, Youth Officers and Children’s Officers) with the information necessary to understand the role of a club Health and Wellbeing Officer and HW Committee members.
“We have been extremely fortunate in Tyrone to have three current club health and wellbeing officers recently complete training in Croke Park to become the first trainers for club health and wellbeing officers in Ireland,” said Tyrone Health and Wellbeing Committee chairperson Fiona Teague.
“We now wish to invite all new or re-elected club health and wellbeing officers and executive officers within our clubs to come along on the evening of Thursday 25th February at 7pm to Garvaghy for the first county training event.
“This is an exciting new era that we are entering in the county and would encourage all clubs to ensure they are represented on the night.”
