Edendork St Malachy’s GAC have assembled a star-studded line-up of sports stars for a novel fund-raising event.
‘A Question of Sport’ will test the knowledge of well known personalities at Edendork Hall on Friday June 28.
It’s a joint venture with Joe Brolly’s ‘Opt For Life’ organ donation campaign, and promises to deliver a memorable evening of entertainment.
Former Derry star and RTE pundit Brolly will captain one of the teams, the other led by Tyrone legend Peter Canavan.
Team members include former Ireland rugby captain Willie Anderson, former Commonwealth boxing champion Martin Rogan and a special guest from the world of top-class soccer, whose identity will be revealed later.
Also taking part in the quiz show based on the popular television series of the same name will be a number of well known GAA personalities.
Hosting both sections of the programme will be former All-Star and Armagh player Jimmy Smith, also a noted GAA match commentator.
“It promises to be a great evening for sporting enthusiasts,” said Edendork St Malachy’s chairman Brendan Nelis.
“We have a number of household names from a variety of sports taking part, and we are delighted to welcome them to Edendork Hall on June 28.
“We are also delighted to be associated with a very worthy cause in the form of the ‘Opt For Life’ campaign launched by Joe Brolly.”
