It will be “Seconds Out” in Eglish Sports Hall on Friday 1st as Eglish GAC, in conjunction with Emyvale ABC, is presenting an evening of amateur boxing
An exciting bill of 10 contests has been lined up for the event. It will feature complete novices, to the ring, from Eglish, Tullysaran, Aghaloo, Moy and Killyman GAA clubs. These boys will fight alongside experienced boxers from Emyvale ABC.
Amongst the boxers are Conall “Big Hits” McNulty, Aaron “Heartbreak Kid” Daly, Conor “Lights Out” Gribben, Sean “The Boogieman” Donnelly, Paul “Ding-a-ling” Mason, Caolan “Hands of Stone” Boyle, Matthew “Twisty Caps” Mallon, Eugene “The Bomber” Daly, Cathal “Count of Monte Fisto” Mallon, Fearghal “The Monk” McNulty, Shane “The Wild Boar” McCann, Oisin “The Operator” Gildernew, Kevin “The Derryfubble Destroyer” McGuigan.
This promises to be evening of high quality sporting entertainment with the fight night being run in a professional manner, with all required safety measures in place. The partnership with Emyvale Boxing Club has ensured that all fighters have received the best possible preparation in terms of fitness and technique, having completed 10 weeks of intensive training under the guidance of Mickey Treanor and Adrian Geary, in the run up to the big event. All proceeds from the event will go towards the future development of the club, so come along on Friday 1st December and enjoy a night of high adrenalin and excitement. On the night doors open at 7pm with first bout at 8.30pm. Admission is £20 by ticket or pay at the door. A strict over 18 policy will be implemented. Although you can pay on the night it sis recommended that you purchase your ticket in advance as demand is high.
