Tyrone senior camogie champions Eglish start their Ulster Intermediate quest with a home tie on Sunday October 12th at 12:45 in Father Connolly Park. They will play Armagh championship winners Madden. The format for this years championship will be the same as last with a three way round robin contest. Down champions Clonduff will compete for the other place in the final.
Madden and Clonduff played their first fixture and the Down camogs came away with a comfortable win last Sunday with a score-line 1-11 to 4-20. A win therefore for Eglish on Sunday would guarantee a place in the Ulster final. The game is a must win and Eglish captain Julie Lagan had this to say
“We want to start with a win of course. Madden already have a game under their belt, albeit a defeat, but they will be up for this game. We never underestimate any of our opponents and we expect this fixture will be tough. We’ve trained well all year and these are the matches we all look forward to.”
