Eglish camogie club lifted their second championship trophy in less than a week. They won the under 16 Eileen Coney cup against Edendork on a sunny Saturday afternoon in Moy.
Eglish won the toss and decided to have a very strong wind in their favour in the first half. Edendork never really got started in the game throughout the first 30 minutes as Eglish built up a sizeable lead.
Edendork had some great attacks in the second half and added a few very fine scores for their efforts. It was a comfortable win in the end for the formidable Eglish side.
The Eileen Coney cup was presented to the joint Eglish captains Una Barret and Megan Vincent by Roisin o’Neill. Casey Gallagher won the player of the championship and was awarded for her efforts with a camogie t-shirt presented by Josephine McKeown on behalf of Tyrone County Board.
The board would like to thank Moy for use of facilities and also Siobhan McGrath for officiating the final.
