Following on from a very successful River Bank Dance Festival 2013, Eglish GAC have assembled an impressive line-up of events for this year’s festival.
The opening feature of the River Bank Dance Festival 2014 will be the Cormac 10k road race and fun run in memory of Cormac McAnallen which will take place on Saturday, May 17, starting at 1pm. Entry for the 10k Race or the Fun-Run is £10. All participants get a free goody bag, while there will be cash prizes for the Male and Female winners of the 10k Race. The Fun Run will take place alongside the main event, this being for the youth or for casual walkers and being over a 3 km stretch.
The following Thursday, 22 May, the search for ‘Eglish Newest Model’ takes place. Compere Lynette Fay will put the models through their paces and with the fashion being provided by Cuba this is an event not to be missed by any fashionista!
Friday 23 May there will be a Youth Disco for children P7 and upwards.
On Saturday 24 May legendary celtic rockers “More Power to your Elbow” will rock the marquee with their traditional and electric anthems in a much anticipated gig. The award winning Derek Ryan will be making a popular return on Sunday 25 May to close out the bank holiday weekend.
The following Friday, 30 May audience members will be given the opportunity to beat the cube as EglishGAC provide their own take on ITV’s The Cube Game show.
