Eglish camogie club have banished the demons of Ulster finals past with an emphatic win against Watty Graham’s Glen of Derry in the AIB Ulster Intermediate championship final on Sunday in The Loup.

Eglish were totally dominant all over the park resulting in points for Maria Jordan, Shauna Jordan and Ciara Donnelly. Susan Conlon added the games first goal after seventeen minutes. Leanne Donnelly added her first point of the game following by a fine passage of play that found Ciara Donnelly who slotted Eglish’s second goal. Glen added a point of their own resulting in the half time scoreboard reading Eglish 2-9 Glen 0-4.
The second half began with Eglish extending their lead when Ciara Donnelly added three points in the first eight minutes. Glen had a glimmer of hope when they added a goal and a point of their own. Eglish introduced Niamh McNulty who duly was rewarded with a quick goal. Leanne Donnelly added two goals as the scores just kept coming for Eglish. A series of wides for Eglish and a last gasp goal for Glen ended a very one sided final.
