Free Courses on Offer for Unemployed Club Volunteers / Undergraduates

The Unemployed Club Volunteer / Undergraduate Scheme run through Ulster Council is being run out in the County next month, the following courses will be on offer, all free of charge.  This is the perfect opportunity for volunteers from within your Club who are currently unemployed or in third level education to enhance their employability skills by developing them through sports coaching.  Places are limited on all courses, make sure your Club volunteers don’t miss out!

The following courses will be offered:

Tuesday 10^th June – Employability Skills (9:30am – 12:30pm) Compulsory element of programme

Tuesday 10^th June – Disability Training Awareness (1:00pm-3:00pm)

Wednesday 11^th June – First Aid Course (9:00am – 5:00pm)

Thursday 19^th June – Foundation Coaching Award (9:30am – 5:00pm)

Monday 23^rd and Tuesday 24^th June – Award One Children’s Course (9:30am – 5:00pm)

All the above courses will be held at the Tyrone GAA Centre, Garvaghey

All volunteers which are interested in availing of this opportunity must complete the employability skills workshop and can select from any of the other courses.  To register for the programme please contact myself at your earliest convenience.  Numbers are limited on all courses and will be allocated on a first cone first served basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Clubs not to miss out on.  For those who complete the programme there will also be the opportunity to coach at the 2014 Tyrone Summer Camps.

There will be an information session for all those interested in coaching at the 2014 Tyrone Summer Camps on Monday 2^nd June at the Tyrone GAA Centre at 7pm, only those in attendance will be considered for summer coaching.  Attendance is compulsory by all interested coaches.
