**GAMBLING AWARENESS TRAINING SESSION HOSTED BY DERRYTRESK GAC 1ST JUNE 7PM**
Tyrone Health and well-Being Committee have become more and more aware of the rise of gambling, therefore are rolling out awareness of the impact and sources of support available to as wide an audience as possible.
The first session in Tyrone is hosted by Derrytresk GAC on Wednesday 1 June at 7pm.
This session explores the area of problem gambling and the impact this has on the individual, family and society as a whole. The course covers topics such as: definition ofgambling, different levels of gambling and how to recognise when someone is experiencing problems with gambling. The session discusses how the individual, family and community are affected by problem gambling and identify sources of support and help available for those affected directly and indirectly.
The session is aimed at players, parents, coaches, mentors – anyone who wishes to increase their knowledge and ability to recognise the signs of problem gambling and where to direct those affected directly and indirectly to sources of support.
