Glenelly Rockin By The River Festival takes place in Plumbridge and is running from Saturday 13th July to Sunday 21st July 2013.
Pontius Pilots are kicking off the festival and on Sunday we are hosting our ever popular Vintage Rally. Monday 15th is the Sperrin Ramble/ Charity Walk with proceeds going towards The Pat Cullinan Charitable Trust and the Plum Club. Tuesday sees the return of the kiddies discos to the festival marquee.
On Wednesday 17th Big Bingo takes place with £4000 in prizes to be given out on the night. On Thursday Hugo Duncan is bringing his Radio Ulster Roadshow to the marquee at 1.30pm with special guests Crystal Swing. On Thursday night it is the return of the Variety Concert with Ray Lynam, Philomena Begley, Brendan Quinn, Ryan Turner, Gary Gamble and Big O in attendance to entertain the crowds.
On Friday 19th one of Ireland’s biggest Country Music sensations, Nathan Carter is taking to the stage. Doors for this event open at 7.30pm and it will be possible to pay at the door on the night.
On Saturday night we welcome the return of More Power To Your Elbow. On Sunday Plumbridge Cycle Club is hosting a 25 or 50 mile cycle with registration at 9.00am.
There is also a family cycle with registration taking place at 2.00pm. On Sunday afternoon we have a Family Fun Day which includes amusements, under-age football blitzes and a revamped traditional sports day. The task of closing proceedings again falls to Justin Mc Gurk & The Boogie Men.
