Tyrone ladies sealed their first win in the Bord Gais national league today with a 2-15 to 4-6 win over Kildare at Healy Park. Gerry Moanes side always looked in control and by the break lead 1-11 to 2-2, Lycrecia Quinn scoring the first of two well taken goals.
Quinns second goal came just a minute into the second half while Joline Donnelly Gemma Begley latched on points, there was a nervous finish though as Kildare scored late goals. The injury crisis continued too with Carol McGlinchey suffering a suspected fractured jaw in an accidental clash.
Manager Moane was happy with the win but will be concerned over his sides defencive frailtys that allowed the visitors in for soft goals, “Certainly its an area of concern for us but when you look at the players we have unavailable, that tells its own story, but i feel the players who come in have to step up, we have to be sharper and better, its hard to win games when you give away goals like that “
