Ladies Minors Face Ulster Final Test

Following on from the success of the Ulster A under 16 title last week the Tyrone ladies minor side face Cavan at Magheracloone on Saturday in the Ulster minor final.
Tyrone face a Cavan side that are really buzzing now. Ladies football in the county has been undergoing considerable expansion in recent years. After success at several underage grades and with the senior footballers having an impressive national league campaign there’s a sense of expectation within the county. The team has shown that with some very good performances in group one of the championship round robin series.
In games against Derry, Armagh and Monaghan Cavan racked up 17-42 conceding just 3-23. Judging by their scoring returns alone it would appear their forwards are a potent force.
Tyrone have only played two competitive ties in this year’s competition after Down withdrew from Group two. The Red Hands beat Donegal and racked up a big score against Antrim but will be well aware that Cavan will provide the Tyrone defence with a stern examination.
