Laochra / Allianz League Finals 24th April 2016

By tyronepro Fri 8th Apr

As you know, the GAA is planning a special event to mark the centenary of the 1916 Rising. Following the Division One and Two Allianz Football League Finals at Croke Park on Sunday April 24, we will present a show that will commemorate  the Rising, the Proclamation, the story of Gaelic Games and the GAA’s role since 1916. The show will incorporate large-scale innovative theatre, dance, song, poetry and pageantry.  We are confident that this production will enhance what is already an eagerly anticipated Allianz League Finals double header.

Our goal is to fill Croke Park for these two major finals and an event that is of major significance in terms of the GAA contribution to the commemoration of the 1916 Rising.  We need your support in ensuring that it will be staged in front of a full house in Croke Park.

With that in mind, I will be grateful if you share this email, and the links included, with all of your clubs and other contacts. I ask you to forward this email to every club in your county today as a matter of urgency.

Club secretaries can then use these links by (i) emailing them directly to their members  or (ii)  using them across digital platforms ie websites and social media.

I also include below details on ticketing.  Although we expect a large attendance from four counties involved in the Allianz League finals,  we see this as an event of huge significance for the wider GAA membership. We need your support in spreading the word.
