The 2026 Club Tyrone Golf Classic, sponsored by Western Properties, was officially launched in O’Neill’s Healy Park on Tuesday, marking the beginning of preparations for one of the Club Tyrone’s most eagerly anticipated networking events.

This year’s event will see an exciting change of venue as golfers swap the parkland of Belvoir Park for the stunning links landscape of Donegal Golf Club, Murvagh. Widely regarded as one of Ireland’s finest championship links courses, Murvagh has recently undergone a series of enhancements under the guidance of former European Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley and is regularly ranked among the top 30 golf courses in Ireland.

Hosting this year’s event at Murvagh reflects Club Tyrone’s ambition to develop the event and provide participants with a memorable golfing experience on one of Ireland’s finest links courses.

Speaking at the launch, Peter Teague of Western Properties said: “Western Properties is delighted to partner with Club Tyrone as title sponsor of the 2026 Golf Classic. Like Club Tyrone we share a strong commitment for supporting local communities and creating opportunities for people to come together. Murvagh is a truly outstanding venue and we are proud to be associated with what promises to be a fantastic day of golf, networking and support for Tyrone GAA.”

Martin Haughey, Chairperson of Club Tyrone, welcomed Western Properties on board at the title sponsor for 2026. “We are extremely grateful to Peter Teague and Western Properties for their support of Club Tyrone and this year’s Golf Classic. Murvagh is recognised as one of the finest links courses in the country and will provide a fitting test for the golfers. We look forward to welcoming teams from across Tyrone and beyond for what promises to be a memorable occasion.”

The Golf Day has once again generated tremendous interest, with all team tee times sold out well in advance of the event.

However, businesses and supporters still have an opportunity to become involved through a range of tee and green sponsorship packages, providing excellent visibility and the chance to support the ongoing development of Tyrone GAA.

The event will bring together golfers, sponsors and supporters from across the county and beyond for a day that combines competitive golf, networking and fundraising in support of Tyrone GAA.
