Gaelic Tyrone is deeply saddened to learn of the death of Mickey John Forbes.
A member of one of Tyrone’s most outstanding Gaelic families, and brother of our cherished Tyrone GAA President Patsy, Mickey John, among much else, was part of our 1972/73 National League, McKenna Cup and Ulster Senior Championship-winning team, was central to Ardboe’s dazzling three-in-a-row 1971-73 O’Neill Cup winners, and would later manage the O’Donovan Rossas back to the Tyrone Championship summit.
Our deepest sympathy goes to Roisin, Michele, Conor, Orla, Simone, Shea and Rebekah, to Mickey John’s extensive family circle, to his many friends and associates, and to the Gaels of Ardboe.
