Coiste Contae Thir Eoghain wish to announce that Senior Huring manager Mattie Lennon will not be seeking a further term in charge of the County team.
Cathaoirleach Roisin Jordan extended the thanks of the County Board to Mattie and his backroom team on the unprecedented success they achieved throughout their two year tenure with the county.
“Since taking over at the start of the 2014 season, Mattie has taken hurling in Tyrone to new heights, winning a Nicky Rackard Cup and achieving back to back Allianz League titles. His approach in terms of both developing players and promoting the game within the county was second to none. On behalf of Coiste Contae Thir Eoghain, I extend thanks to Mattie, coach Dave Kennedy and all his backroom team for all their efforts over the last 2 years and wish them every success in the future.”
Clubs have been invited to nominate a successor for 2016 with all potential candidates to be notified to the County Secretary, via the club secretary, by Thursday 1st October.
