Radical Proposals Receive Warm Reception in Killyclogher
County Hurling Officer Brendan Harkin has introduced a proposed structure that the County Board hopes will transform Hurling within the county.  Over 70 people turned up to hear what the new Hurling Officer was hoping to put in place.  The proposal will now be tabled at the next CCC and County Board meetings and if approved will be introduced as early as April.

This proposal is based upon the following points …
–          Eight regional teams with six Clubs feeding into a regional team
–          Coordinator to be identified for each regional team from within the six Clubs
–          Each Club to identify club officer/coach who will assist with team preparation
–          Each Club to target 4-6 players 17+ years of age
–          Only non-hurlers may participate
–          A former County player will be assigned to assist in training and managing the team.  All Club representatives will shadow the coach.
–          Eight teams divided into two sections, each team plays three games in advance of County Feile competition involving the eight teams.
