In 2006 the firm completed the landmark Invest NI building in Belfast’s Bedford Street and it has now secured Planning Approval for Phase II of that scheme, 215,000 square feet of new Grade A office space.
The project will involve a new 17-storey office building as well as the refurbishment of the listed William Ewart Building. A new public piazza will be included and when McAleer & Rushe’s nearby Belfast City Council Offices, Maldron Hotel and 1,200-bed Queen’s Student Accommodation schemes are added in, the firm’s huge positive impact on Belfast city centre is very clear.
