Tyrone Masters
The Tyrone over 40’s have re-entered the All Ireland Masters competition after a three year absence. Having reached the All Ireland final against Mayo in 2009 the Tyrone camp took an enforced break after player insurance issues left the future of the series in doubt.
Having overcome that obstacle Eugene Bradley and Joe Leonard have once again stepped in to the breach to get the Tyrone set up going again. Training commenced in early September and victory in the first match against Antrim was followed by a great win over Monaghan at Carrickmore last Saturday morning. A strong and composed Monaghan outfit led midway through the second half but a brace of goals from Tyrone tipped the balance in their favour at the final whistle.
Training continues this week on Wednesday night at 8pm in Killyclogher. Next up for Tyrone is a tough away assignment against Dublin on Saturday.
