The picturesque parish of Leckpatrick will be the ideal setting for Owen Roes’ GFC annual fundraising cycle, walk and run which takes place on Sunday 2nd June. The Club are offering something for everyone with their day, with a 5K route available for walkers and runners, and the cyclists having the option of a 25 mile or a 50 mile route. Indeed the options ensure that the routes prevent challenges for the seasoned competitor and those more interested in a fun day out with the Club extending their invite to both adults, and children making this a day for all.
The Club as always are well supported by local community, and with the recent boom, locally and nationally, in cycling and running hope to see plenty of support for their day.
Registration will be staggered through the morning with the cyclist’s registration (£10) time being open from 9am until 9.50am aiming for a 10am start. Meanwhile those walkers and runners (£5) can register from 10.30am with a planned 11.30am off time.
The Club’s showers will be available for use after the event, and refreshments available in their social complex.
