Coiste Contae Thir Eoghain extends its deepest sympathies to the King family on the death of Pat, a former County Senior Football captain who was part of the Tyrone side that claimed a third Ulster Senior title for the county in 1973.
During his playing career, Pat represented club and county with distinction. A proud Trillick man, Pat collected 5 O’Neill Cup medals for the St Macartan’s and captained the team to their 1983 triumph over Ardboe. After his playing days, Pat went on to manage Fermanagh to All Ireland B Championship & Dr McKenna Cup successes.
An inspirational figure on and off the field, Gaels from Tyrone, Fermanagh and further afield will mourn his passing.
