It is with regret that tomorrow evenings coaching workshop in Garvaghey has to be cancelled due to the significant amount of snow still lying on all pitches. The course has been rescheduled for Friday 6th February in Omagh CBS at 7:30pm, please note change of venue.
The coaching workshop ‘Game Speed for Gaelic Games Athletes’ will go ahead as scheduled next Friday, the 30th January in Omagh CBS Sports Hall at 7:30pm.

Game Speed for Gaelic Games Athletes
Overview:
Understand the demands of running, plyometrics, game-speed and agility in GAA team sports and how they relate to various ages and stages of development.
Objective:
Warming Up for movement sessions.
A practical understanding of field based drills for speed development.
Foundational Concepts:
Drills that you can use that require minimal equipment but will get your players to run well quickly including skipping variations, stick drills and much more.

Athlete development for youths
Overview:
Look forward to practical ideas and concepts that coaches can implement to make their young players better.
Objective:
A practical understanding of the process of planned training.
Understand how the demands of GAA team sports dictate the conditioning.
The role of movement mechanics as it applies to youth players.
Foundational Concepts:
Train Movement not Muscle
Body weight before external resistance.
