Rock PS wins the Ulster Allianz Cumann Na mBunscol Indoor football title!
Sacred Heart PS, Rock are the new Ulster Allianz Cumann na mBunscol 5-a-side indoor football winners after an exciting victory over St Bride’s PS, Antrim in the final of the Ulster Allianz Cumann na mBunscol tournament held in Cookstown Leisure Centre on Thursday.
The Tyrone champions had overcome fancied Derry champions St Brigid’s PS, Mayogall in the semi final to set up a clash with the Antrim school. Rock captain Thomas Mackle and Shea Daly maintained their form from the Allianz Cumann Na mBunscol Tyrone Finals in March and led their team to the Ulster title for the second time in the school’s history. In fact all eight players in the Rock panel were called upon for their skill and experience which was to prove decisive in the final outcome.
It has already been a fantastic year for the staff, pupils and principal Eunan McGinn, as they have not only achieved Tyrone and Ulster honours on the football field but were recently crowned Tyrone Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Primary School Quiz champions as well.

St Columbkille’s PS, Carrickmore were beaten semi-finalists in the Ulster Indoor Camogie Allianz Cumann na mBunscol competition at the same venue. They had won the Tyrone Indoor title in Omagh in early March.
