Following on from the successful Health and Wellbeing conference in March, CLG Tir Eoghain are now hosting a ‘SafeTALK for GAA Coaches’ workshop on Monday 10th June at 7pm in the Tyrone GAA Headquarters in Garvaghey.
SafeTALK course is a 3 hour certified course which aims to raise awareness of suicide in local clubs and communities. The course will allow participants to learn the four basic steps to recognise persons with thoughts of suicide and connect them with help.
SafeTALK training prepares people to help by identifying when someone may have thoughts of suicide and direct them to further help. The training is funded by the Public Health Agency and is facilitated by local trainers and is free of charge.
Cumann Luthchleas Gael Tir Eoghain promote positive health and well being in our local clubs and communities, this not only includes the promotion of physical health but also individuals emotional health and well being. To this end, we would actively encourage all clubs to send representatives to this workshop.
Registration is essential. Contact Fiona at fionatea@live.co.uk or on mobile number 07813935996 for more information.
