Tá Scór na nÓg 2025 ag teannadh linn go gasta anois agus an chéad deireadh seachtaine de mhí Dheireadh Fómhair ag druidim orainn– níl sé ach trí seachtaine uainn.
Scór na nÓg 2025 has come even nearer now that the first weekend in October has come even closer – just short of three weeks away.
Tá áthas orainn sonraí na n-ionad agus na n-amanna tosaigh do chomórtais na bliana seo a fhógairt, agus muid ag breathnú ar an díograis mhéadaithe atá léirithe ag páistí inár gclubanna maidir le páirt a ghlacadh inár n-eagras – ó imirt ár gcluichí go forbairt ár dteanga, agus sa chás seo, a rannpháirtíocht i ngné chultúrtha an CLG trí Scór na nÓg.
We are pleased to announce details of the venues and starting times for this year’s competitions with children in our clubs showing significantly more enthusiasm in becoming involved in our association from the playing of our games to the development of our language and in the cultural side of the association through Scór na nÓg.
We have reached out to the clubs in the county asking for volunteer clubs to come forward to support and provide venues for our competitions. Our first round begins Naomh Eoghan in Castlederg, on Friday 3rd October, as the club celebrates their Golden Jubilee and are delighted to be our opening hosts. Our second night, Saturday 4th October is hosted by Naomh Damhnait, in Dromore who have long been supporters of the Scór ideal and indeed have become one of the standard bearers, in Tír Eoghain, in the promotion and development of our native language. The third night, Sunday 5th October, is hosted by Moy Tír na nÓg, in the east of the county – a club which is always willing to assist with the promotion of Scór.
The semi-finals are to be held on 17th and 19th of October and are being held in the Dún Uladh Cultural Centre, hosted by Coill an Chlochair Naomh Mhuire, with its theatre type facilities and the second in the newly developed clubrooms at Pomeroy Plunkett’s facilities
Our county finals which are usually, a full house event, and we don’t see that this will be any different this year will be held in St Joseph’s Hall in Omagh, hosted by An Ómaigh, Naomh Éanna, – a venue which is well known as a very appropriate place to hold a county Final.
Details of the Ulster semi-finals and final will be made known as soon as these are confirmed by Coiste Scór Uladh.
The All Ireland Finals are to be held, in the traditional national finals venue, in the INEC in Killarney in 2026.
