St Macartan Ladies GFC are preparing for their 20th Anniversary Gala on November 17th, 2012, at The Mellon Country Hotel.
The Gala promises to be a memorable occasion, incorporating reflections on competition successes, stories of how the St Macartan’s club developed through the years and the thoughts of those closely involved. Contact St Macartan’s club and local outlets for the very reasonably priced tickets.
November 17th’s gathering will also be an event tinged with sadness following the passing in August of Sean McElroy, one of the people who displayed great dedication over two decades to St Macartan’s.
St Macartan’s Gala was launched in the same week(photo features some of the players and officials present) as the club U-16’s won the G1 League title, Sean McElroy having been joint manager of the squad. Sean’s importance to St Macartan’s, along with several others, will feature during the Gala night itself on November 17th.
