Terri was a former player and member of Owen Roe O’ Neill’s Leckpatrick GFC who died on the 21st December 2008 aged 16 after contracting Meningococcal/Sepiticaemia (Meninigitis B). A new vaccine BEXSERO has in January 2013 become a licensed product by the European Commission. This vaccine will prevent up to 75% of various strains of Meningitis B across Europe. Vaccination is the ONLY way this ruthless disease can be prevented. The Devine family are backing the campaign by Meningitis Research to have this vaccine implememented into the Childhood Immunisation Programme as soon as possible.
