Tony Donnelly and Fergal McCann have today confirmed that they are stepping down from their roles within the management of the Tyrone senior football team. Tony has been part of the management set-up since 2005 as Assistant Manager to Mickey Harte and Fergal has been the senior team trainer for the same period.
County Chairman, Ciaran McLaughlin paid tribute to Tony and Fergal for the massive contribution that both men have made to Tyrone GAA during the past decade where the highlights were the All-Ireland successes of 2005 and 2008.
“The GAA in Tyrone owe a debt of gratitude to Tony and Fergal for their work over the past decade. Since becoming involved with the Senior Team in 2005, both played a major role in all our successes. On behalf of Coiste Chontae Tír Eoghain and the whole GAA community in Tyrone, I wish them every success.”
County team manager Mickey Harte thanked both men for their expertise, their time and their committment to the senior football teams of Tyrone with which they were involved for the past ten years.
“I wish to thank both men for their loyal support during the challenges we have faced over the past 10 seasons. They have given great service to Tyrone and to myself during their tenure and I wish both the best for the future”
