Tyrone clubs aim for Ulster glory in five disciplines in Scór this weekend.

The Trath na gCeist competition starts at 11:00am in Monaghan Harps club with Tyrone being represented by Naomh Pádraig an Eaglais. These seasoned quizzers are hoping to secure an Ulster title and progress to the All-Ireland Final in April 2026.

Threemilehouse is the venue for the on stage competitions of the Ulster final of Scór. Competitors from Ardboe will compete in the Ceol Urlise discipline for an Ulster title.

Ardboe has a proud tradition in Scór, with members of the club competing for generations in dancing, traditional music, storytelling, solo singing, ballad groups and the quiz. Is cuid lárnach de shaol an chlub é Scór — celebrating the music, language and culture that sit alongside Gaelic games in the community. This group of musicians has grown out of that strong Scór tradition in Ardboe. Cathy Quinn, who has been involved in Scór for over 35 years, is especially proud to share the stage today with her son Séadhna Hanna. They are joined by Paddy McGrath on banjo and sisters Eileanóir and Áine Gray on fiddle and harp. All first competed at junior Scór level and have continued into Scór Sinsir. This is the second time Ardboe has reached the Ulster Final in Traditional Group.

Omagh club is represented in Ballads, Ceili and Set dancing. The Omagh St Enda’s ceili team have been county champions for the last 6 years at Senior level. A great group of girls who have sacrificed so much to make practices most weekends. The tradition of Irish dancing in Omagh enabling them to produce wonderful teams year after year. Could this be their year?

The set dancing team is back this year competing in Scór after a few years out. For most of them the shoes had been hung up but decided to come out of retirement as they enjoy the Scór buzz of competing and catching up with many Scór friends. Five members of this team were part of the 2017 All Ireland Sets win in Belfast and they are hoping to do their best to win Ulster and reach another All-Ireland Final in Castlebar.

The Naomh Éanna ballad group have been singing together for several years now. This Saturday will be the 4th Ulster Final in 5 years for some of them. They’ve shown great dedication to reach this stage of the competition and are delighted to be representing their club and county in the Ulster Final.
