Armagh 1-10 Tyrone 1-12
Tyrone secured a two-point win over rivals Armagh at the Athletic Grounds, where the visitors hit the last three points of the game, through Peter Hughes, Cathal McShane and Darren McCurry, to secure a narrow win.
Armagh led by 0-6 to 0-5 at the break, but the start of the game was marred when each side had a man sent off, with Ciaran McKeever and Colm Cavanagh given their marching orders after just nine minutes. Armagh had a second man sent off after the break when Finian Moriarty was also red carded, eight minutes after the restart.
Aidan McCrory hit Tyrone’s second half goal, but Armagh raised a green flag through Eugene McVerry 22 minutes into the second period in response. The Red Hands, however, made their numerical advantage tell and finished strongly to record a two-point win.
