Robbie, Gerry and Darren Fallon and Micheál Kelly were all on target for Roscommon as they opened up a 0-12 to 0-8 half-time lead, but the game quickly turned on its head after the restart with goals for Tyrone by Seán Óg Grogan and Gerard Gilmore. Conor Grogan and Mark Winters were also to the fore for the Red Hands, who pulled further away in the closing stages, with marksman Damian Casey taking his tally to eight points.
