Just Dance Autism is a charity event that has been organised by Shane and Edel McFlynn. Shane and Edele have a child with Autism, and know the challenges that this entails. With buy-in from Croke Park, the Tyrone and Derry County Board’s a huge fundraiser is being organised.
Edele commented “To be able to work with children with Autism, you need to be educated, by people who have worked with them and know all the traits etc that the child has. Special training is required, and this dance night will raise substantial funds for the training to be implemented”.
The following clubs are all supporting the event by entering their own dance troops. St Patrick’s Loup, Ballinderry Shamrocks, Lavey, O’Donavan Rossa Magherafelt, Springhill Boxing Club Moneymore, Derrylaughan, Ardboe, Moortown, Cookstown, Naomh Colum Cille and a team from the Rainey Old Boys Magherafelt.
The team who win on the night will receive a set of O’Neills Jerseys sponsored by O’Neills for their club. All proceeds will go towards Autism Mid Ulster. The event will take place in Ardboe Parish Centre on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 October. Tickets £12. Anyone wishing to buy tickets please tel 02879418751.
