Tyrone GAA Handball club season gets underway
Following another year of unprecedented success, the focus on Tyrone GAA Handball circles will return to the club action as the Tyrone Attic Stairs Handball Leagues return with over 130 players set to compete in five adult and 12 juvenile divisions pre-Christmas.
The Premier League will open the action on Thursday evening in Beragh and Carrickmore as the big guns of club handball in Tyrone go head to head for the right to claim the Termonmaguirc Credit Union Cup in 2013. With Tyrone adult and juvenile handball enjoying incredible success at national and international level in recent times there is no doubt that a brilliant sequence of ties can be expected. In addition the County Committee are launching a first GAA Club Team Tournament in One Wall Handball and this will get underway in December with many of the football and hurling stars in the County set to compete for the first time. The closing date for GAA Clubs to enter this event is 21st November 2013 and all information has been distributed.

Tyrone Attic Stairs 40×20 Handball Championships
The Tyrone Adult 40×20 Championships will take place commencing Saturday 4th January 2014 and Juvenile 40×20 Championships will take place commencing Saturday11th or 18th January 2014. These will be run off on a Tournament style basis with singles events completed in full with a Finals weekend before end of January and the Doubles will have two Open events in Mens Open Senior Doubles and Mens Open Junior Doubles. Entry fee paid for league will provide entry to the championships and any additional players looking to compete in the championships who have not played in the league must have their entry form and fee in for the Tyrone County Committee Meeting in December 2013.
Tyrone GAA Handball Open Day
The Tyrone GAA Handball Open Day (originally scheduled for 23rd November) will now take place on Saturday 25th January 2014. Full details of this event will be announced following the Tyrone County GAA Handball Board Meeting in December 2013. Any proposals from any club in respect of this day to be in at the next County Committee meeting.
Tyrone GAA Clubs One Wall Handball Tournament
The Tyrone GAA Club One Wall Handball Tournament will go ahead as scheduled in December 2013, with the closing date for entries of 21st November 2013. A final decision on format will be made following receipt of all entries and number of clubs competing are known. The County Committee will appoint 4-6 officials, expensed as agreed at the October County Board meeting, to implement the fixtures schedules at each venue designated. This will consist of maximum 3 dates at St. Ciaran’s College and Holy Trinity College.
