Championship season has reached what they call the “business end” and we are delighted that on Saturday 6 August 2011 we’ll have the chance to avenge our defeat by the Dubs last year, and take another step towards the pinnacle of inter-County Senior football.
Club Tyrone is proud of the part that we have played in getting Tyrone GAA to the top. Getting there has been one task. Staying there is another, ongoing piece of work! Although currently exiled from Tir Eoghain our southern members and supporters have been as important to the Tyrone story as any based in the home county and include a strong base established here in Dublin and the surrounding counties.
On Friday next, 5 August 2011 we invite you and your friends, as our guests, to join with Club Tyrone members and Tyrone supporters in the Lansdowne Hotel, 27 Pembroke Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin, for a pre-match gathering.
Where better to experience the nervous anticipation of the quarter final clash with Dublin than at a gathering of like-minded people in a Tyrone-linked venue?
Mickey Harte will attend to share his views on the upcoming game and to meet the Dublin-based fans whose support remains so important to him and the team. We will also provide an update on how Tyrone’s unique Garvaghey Project is progressing and what it will mean to all of us when completed.
Formal proceedings will commence at 8pm and a light supper will be provided.
This is not just an event for Club Tyrone Members and Garvaghey Patrons but is for all Tyrone supporters who don’t get the chance to join in the build-up back at home. Feel free to bring your family and friends who share our grá for the O’Neill County.
We encourage you to use this event as a means of catching up with your Dublin-based Tyrone comrades as we prepare to fight for Sam once again.
It would be helpful for catering purposes if you could confirm your attendance by emailing Roisin Dooher at roisin@clubtyrone.com , but we’ll save a sandwich for you in any case.
