Tyrone GAA Statement

In responding to the latest information from local governments and the World Health Organization, regarding Covid-19, Tyrone GAA is putting a number of measures in place in order to play our part in the efforts to support “social distancing” and help minimise the spread of the virus.
Events and meetings
All Tyrone GAA events and meetings will be postponed until the end of April 2020, at which point the situation will be reviewed.
The meeting of the County Committee which was scheduled to take place on April 7th has been cancelled.
Until the end of April 2020, Tyrone GAA staff will not be attending external meetings to which they have been invited. Many of our meetings will be moved online.
Access to Tyrone GAA Headquarters
Our offices, training facilities and pitches will remain closed to the public until further notice. Tyrone GAA will continue to support its clubs during these closures.
Advice for members
We advise our members to follow the guidance and advice issued by the statutory authorities. We also advise members to stay up to date with the latest official health and travel advice.
Key information sources include:

We understand that during this difficult time, more than ever, people will need support. We urge members, who are not in the “at risk” category and who can, without compromising either their own or anybody else’s safety, to help others that are less fortunate in their community.
Tyrone GAA is mindful that this is an unprecedented situation but hopefully our actions, along with those of many other organisations and businesses, will be practical and useful steps that will help to reduce the risk of spreading the virus.
As the situation will continue to change, check our website where we will be posting any updates.
Keep safe and best wishes from all at Tyrone GAA.
Micheal Mac Giolla Cheara (Cathaoirleach)
