A COMPREHENSIVE review of all the main GAA activities during 2015 is contained within the Tyrone Gaelic Games Review, which is in all good newsagents now.

Running to 112 pages and priced at just £4.95, the magazine is packed full of feature articles, top quality photographs and in-depth interviews with some of the main personalities who helped shape an historic season.

Tyrone senior manager, Mickey Harte, gives his views on the progress to the All-Ireland semi-final and reflects on the main challenges ahead as the quest for more Ulster and All-Ireland glory continues.

The success of the U-21s in winning the provincial and national titles was understandably one of the big highlights of the season. Team manager, Fergal Logan, looks back on the main moments from their journey to All-Ireland glory.

Also featured strongly is the progress of the county’s senior and minor hurlers, the new Tyrone minor manager, Iggy Gallagher, gives his views on the prospects at this level, while Martin Penrose reflects on how life has changed for him following his retirement from inter-county football.

Of course, there is also a strong focus on the club scene. The championship successes of Trillick, Edendork and Brackaville are extensively covered, alongside the various league triumphs and the winners in ladies football, handball, camogie and hurling.

Vividly illustrated by photographs from Michael Cullen and others, the magazine brings to life the memories of a season which saw Tyrone blaze a trail against the odds at senior and U-21 level.

County chairperson, Roisin Jordan, said the publication will enhance the coverage of gaelic games within the county.

“I wish to congratulate the North-West News Group for the high-quality publication which they have put together, and it certainly will add to the already distinguished profile which the group give to our activities in Tyrone through their existing newspaper titles,” she said.

When you see everything gathered together in one place, it underlines just how prosperous the GAA continues to be in the Red Hand county, and how fortunate we are to enjoy the level of success which we do.

“This publication is an exciting development for our county, our clubs, and our GAA people. To have such a comprehensive review of all our activities ensures that our games and our achievements are properly documented for those who come after us.”

Annual editor, Alan Rodgers, described the publication as an exciting development for the county, its clubs, and GAA supporters.

“To have such a comprehensive review of our, and ensures that our games and our achievements are properly documented for those who come after us,” he said.

“The publication of the Tyrone Gaelic Games Review for 2015 brings us into new territory as we take a more reflective look back on the main events and other achievements of the past 12 months.

“It’s a publication jam-packed with feature articles and top quality photographs, encompassing a wide variety of clubs, topics and significant milestones.”
