Tyrone Gaels mourn the sad passing Patrick Harte R.I.P. Pomeroy & Belfast

Níl sa Bhás ach Malairt Beatha | Death is But a Change of Life
Gaelic Tyrone, and so many people and places far beyond it, are deeply saddened by the death, after illness, of Patrick Harte, long of Belfast but always of Pomeroy and Tyrone.
A life-long supporter of and serial contributor to Tyrone GAA, Patrick was a founder member of Club Tyrone and over the following quarter of a century was a key driver of its success, so central to everything it did and achieved, but never in, let alone seeking, any spotlight.
In his chosen world of pharmacy Patrick was equally successful and equally generous, never forgetting his roots and acting as a mentor, helper and career guide for so many young people, especially from Tyrone.
As true legacy is the good you do and the good you leave behind, Patrick’s legacy to us all is immeasurable.  ‘Ná caoin deor ar m’imeacht ach cuimhnigh orm mar a bhí mé | Do not mourn my departure but remember me as I was.’
Our deepest sympathy goes to Marian, Teresa, Michael, Sarah and Kevin, to Patrick’s wider family circle and to his many, many friends and colleagues.
‘I measc Naomh na hÉireann agus Laochra na nGael go raibh sé | May he be among the Saints of Ireland and the Heroes of the Gael.’
