Tyrone Ladies at Beragh on Sunday

Tyrone V Laois  2pm Sunday
Laois come to Beragh on Sunday in search of a valuable three points in the Bord Gais national league at the expense of Martina Dillon’s Tyrone.
The visitors have lost two, away to Donegal and home to Kildare and claimed full points against Mayo last time out to sit 5th in a very congested division one, that fact emphasised with just two points separating five teams. Monaghan and Donegal have 100% records while Cork sit third after that its very tight and a win for Tyrone this weekend is crucial.
Last time out Tyrone looked on course for a full points haul at Drumragh, Donegal on the rack, however their inability to close down the threat of McLaughlin and McMonigle saw Donegal hit six goals, Tyrone naïve in defence and seemingly unable to close them down as they stole in time after time in a poor final ten minutes.
Tyrone must improve this Sunday, there had been improvement in the tie against Galway and for long periods against Donegal they turned in good passages of play only for the wheels to come off the wagon.
Granted there are injuries, plenty of them with Maura Kelly, Lynda Donnelly and Sarah Connolly just three of upwards on seven players carrying knocks ahead of this weekends tie. That trio though are still out. On the plus side several players are hitting a rich vein of form, Captain Neamh Woods has shrugged of injury to help UUJ to the O’Connor cup semi-final while Christiane Hunter and Rosin Rafferty played pivotal roles for Jordanstown too in there two qualification games. Shannon Quinn and Gemma Begley are also playing well and Martina Dillon has plenty of quality to call upon, the need to inject something into the side evident after that last quarter against the all Ireland Intermediate champions.
