Many thanks to legendary goalkeeper Pascal McConnell who has announced his retirement from Inter-County football. One of the most decorated players in the counties history, Pascal is one of the elite few that has captured 3 All Ireland Senior, 2 All Ireland Under 21 and 1 All Ireland Minor titles. Ever present in the Minor and Under 21 successes in 1998, 2000 and 2001, Pascal started both the 2005 and 2008 All Ireland Finals and his save in the 2008 final will be remembered as the one that helped us get over the line. Pascal’s retirement is the penultimate exit from the great All Ireland winning minor side of 1998, with only Stephen O’Neill still remaining.
Best wishes to Big Packie as he continues his club career with Newtownstewart.
